A. MATERIAL The material shall be Plant Mixed – Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete for roadway paving and other uses by Ada County Highway District (ACHD). The Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete (HMAC) shall meet the 2017 ISPWC Specifications, Section 803, 805 and 810.1 through 810.3.1 as follows: A. HMAC shall be SP-3. B. HMAC will contain a minimum of 0.5% anti-strip additive. C. Asphalt Material shall be PG 58-28 or PG 64-28 as listed in the Bid Schedule. The material shall be tested and meet the standards set forth in ISPWC Specifications Section 810.2.7. Recycled Asphalt Pavement (RAP), also known as Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement, will be allowed in the Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete. When used, the mixture shall be produced in accordance with the approved mix design. Supplier may use up to thirty percent (30%) of RAP by weight of the total binder in the HMAC, as defined in ISPWC Section 810 and ACHD’s Supplemental Specifications to the ISPWC Manual 2.5 Recycled Plant Mix. B. ESTIMATED USE OF HMAC BID SCHEDULE A ACHD estimates that the Maintenance Division will use the following quantities of HMAC during the contract period ending December 31, 2025: A. Asphalt Concrete, SP-3 PG 58-28, 1/2-inch aggregate – 5,000 tons. B. Asphalt Concrete, SP-3 PG 64-28, 1/2-inch aggregate – 2,000 tons. These quantities are estimates only. ACHD makes no warranty that ACHD will purchase any or all of the estimated quantities of HMAC. These estimates are only for use to assist Prospective Bidders in preparing their Proposals. C. ESTIMATED USE OF HMAC BID SCHEDULE B – PATCH TRUCK ACHD estimates that the Maintenance Division will use the following quantities of HMAC during the contract period ending December 31, 2025: A. Asphalt Concrete, SP-3 PG 58-28, 1/2-inch aggregate – 1,500 tons. B. Asphalt Concrete, SP-3 PG 64-28, 1/2-inch aggregate – 1,500 tons. These quantities are estimates only.
