The athletic shoes must not have been manufactured specifically for use in institutions such as correctional institutions. The athletic shoes must come in both male and female sizes for JCC-Nampa. (At this time, only JCC-Nampa is purchasing female sizes of shoes. This may change in the future for any or all JCCs.) The athletic shoes must come, at a minimum, in the sizes listed in Exhibit B – Price Sheet, for the JCCs under the Contract(s). The athletic shoes must be designed for use on courts, such as tennis and basketball. The athletic shoes must be designed for heavy-duty athletic use, such as for high school and collegiate sports. The athletic shoes must be hi-top (JCCs may purchase low top athletic shoes, but, for eval purposes, on Exhibit B – Price Sheet, quote hi-top athletic shoes). The soles and the lower sides of the athletic shoes must be non-marking (the upper of the athletic shoes must not leave marks as well). The upper of the athletic shoes may be primarily either black or white (JCCs may require only one or the other, but, for eval purposes, on Exhibit B – Price Sheet, vendors may quote either color) The athletic shoes must contain no metal and must not have any pockets. JCCs may purchase either lace-up or hook and loop fastened athletic shoes (for evaluation purposes, on Exhibit B – Price Sheet, quote lace-up athletic shoes).
