This contract requires commercial rock crushing/stockpiling services. Rock crushing shall occur within the established USFS Joe Springs Pit. The contractor shall crush approximately 25,000 Tons of Grading F Surface Course, 7,000 Tons of Grading P Base Course and 2,000 CY of Class 3 Rip Rap. The aggregate shall be stockpiled 0.15 miles north of the crushing site at a designated area off USFS Road 9339. The work includes but is not limited to clearing and grubbing, crushing rock, hauling and stockpiling aggregate and riprap, seeding, and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications.
The performance period for this project is June 1, 2020 through September 30, 2020. The contractor shall be required to have 15,000 tons of Grade F and 3,000 tons of Grade P material stockpiled by August 1, 2020 for use in the Center Johnson Timber Sale.
This project is located west of the Slate Creek Ranger Station off of Road 420 at mile 3.77. The project is in the Salmon River Ranger District in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. The project begins in Section 29, Township 27N, and Range 1E.
The Request for Quotes was issued on 10/03/19 with contract award planned for early November 2019. An mandatory site visit was held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019. Attendance at this meeting was MANDATORY for quote submission.
As a service contract, bonding is not required.
Contract award shall be made to the firm whose price and technical package are the best value for the government. See Addendum to FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Quoters Tailored on pages 52-55 for complete instructions and evaluation/award information.
Site visit notes including an attendance list have been uploaded to this notice. A solicitation amendment was issued 10/21/2019. Deadline for receipt of quotes was not extended.
