Post pounders must be assembled, installed, and adjusted, per the manufacturer’s standards, and be ready for operation upon delivery. The Post Driver will be installed on an ITD owned truck chassis (see specifications below); Make and Model – To be determined; GVWR – Thirty-three thousand (33,000) lb; Front Axle Rating – Twelve thousand (12,000) lb; Rear Axle Rating – Twenty-one thousand (21,000) lb; CA Dimension – One hundred and two (102) in; Engine – Three hundred fifty (350) HP diesel; Transmission – Allison three thousand (3000) Series RDS; Tire Size – 11R22.5 and; Brakes – Air type. The components specified must be installed by a Contractor actively engaged in the installation of truck chassis equipment and the installation, calibration, customization, diagnostic and troubleshooting of hydraulic and electrical systems, and all other associated truck chassis auxiliary components. Assembly must be performed in a manner to promote ease of maintenance. Welding All welds must meet the American Welding Society (AWS) D1.1-96 specifications. All Joints and seems must be closed with full seam welding. Paint Application – Unless otherwise stated in this ITB, each Post Driver must be cleaned, prime coated, and then painted per the paint manufacturer’s process for the application. The prime coat(s) and paint coat(s) must be a minimum dry thickness of four (4) mil. Total two (2) mil. prime coat & two (2) mil. paint coat). The Post Driver must be smooth and free of rust, runs, overspray, peeling, weld splatter, and other defects; The understructure must be prime coated with two (2) - part urethane followed with poly urethane undercoating; Welded Components – All welded components must be welded in place prior to application of the primer and paint; Decals – Post Driver must have safety and caution decals attached and; Color – Post Driver and flatbed body must be painted to match truck chassis cab yellow. Underbody toolboxes shall be painted black.
