The Ada County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the development and purchase of corrections specific Electronic Medical Records Software (“EMR Software”) for its Jail Health Services Unit. The system will be utilized by the Health Services unit (“HSU”), which provides medical, dental, and mental health services to approximately 976 inmates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The purpose of this RFP is to replace the current CorEMR Software with current and modern EMR Software technology to increase efficiency in the ACSO’s Health Services Unit. CorEMR currently serves as a core platform for storing and retrieving patient information, facilitating efficient clinical workflows, and maintaining a comprehensive repository of medical data. It allows for the input of patient demographics, manages clinical notes, manages prescriptions, schedules appointments, and handles billing and insurance information. The ACSO is seeking a better understanding of the current state of EMR Software technology and the different EMR Software options that could potentially increase efficiency in the HSU. Through this RFP, the ACSO is interested in exploring the currently available EMR Software and products, as well as new services and products that vendors plan to introduce in the future.
