OVERVIEW– The City of Peoria is soliciting proposals for janitorial services for ten (14) Buildings comprising approximately 165,000 square feet of cleanable space. The contract will be for an initial period of three (3) years plus two (2) one-year extensions at the City’s discretion.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK - The work included under the scope of this contract is provide janitorial service to the City of Peoria building locations as listed on Exhibit A. The successful proposer shall supply all labor, materials, equipment, tools and other items associated with this work as may be necessary to meet the requirements of these specifications.

PRE-BID MEETING – A pre-bid meeting will be held on May 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM. The meeting is not mandatory but is recommended. A tour of all buildings will follow. RFP SUBMISSION INFORMATION - There are two (2) options for RFP submittal.

Mailed Option - Sealed bids – one (1) original and three (3) copies – will be accepted by the City of Peoria at the Peoria City Hall – Purchasing Division: 419 Fulton St. RM 108, Peoria, IL 61602, until 2:00 p.m. on June 6, 2024. Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope or package with the bid title and bid number marked on the outside (RFP # and RFP Title). Please include your company name and return address on the outside of the envelope.

Electronic Option - Proposals can also be submitted electronically through BidNet. Only one (1) copy is needed (please submit entire RFP document).

Proposals received after the stated date and time will not be considered. Faxed bids will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and publicly recorded immediately following the closing time set for the receipt of bids.
