The County of Peoria is seeking bids from qualified vendors to replace fire sprinkler heads at the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center located at 223 N. Maxwell Road, Peoria IL, 61604. The Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center is a 24 hour, 63 bed facility opened in 1999 to serve the many needs of the juvenile population, including education, mental, medical, and dental health as well as faith-based services. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select a vendor to furnish all labor, materials and equipment required for the complete execution of the sprinkler head replacement project at the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center. The goal is to select the most capable vendor offering the most competitive price complying with all specifications and requirements listed in this bid document.

This project is a Public Works Project and will be subject to the Prevailing Wage Act. Please see "General Instructions to Bidders" for details. Copies of certified payrolls shall be submitted with invoice for work completed. All certified payrolls shall also be uploaded to the Illinois Department of Labor’s website https://labor.illinois.gov/ Please submit a copy of the receipt of your uploads from Illinois Department of Labor. In addition to the Prevailing Wage Act requirements, Peoria County requires any General, or Sub-Contractor for contracts of $5,000 or greater, to participate in an Apprenticeship Training Program and to submit a “Certificate of Apprenticeship and Training” with bid response. General Contractors will be required to submit the names of any/all subcontractors to be used on this project.
