Specifications include, but are not limited to: McHenry County seeks qualifications from professional architectural firms to provide complete architectural and engineering design services for the renovation of the Crystal Lake Public Health Facility, 100 N. Virginia St., Crystal Lake, IL, 60014. This renovation will update the interior layout, provide new means of ingress and egress, create a drive through clinic delivery lane, and make select modifications to the site to improve parking and access, subject to continuing need and availability of funds. 1. Reconfigure the public entrance door systems with automatic doors, potentially sliding, in both areas and site entry access, and new sidewalk, stairs & ramp at the Clinic side. 2. Reconfigure waiting areas in both use areas to provide better security and HIPAA compliance. 3. Create new circulation patterns to limit the public’s access to back-office activities while maintaining access to the restroom facilities. 4. Reconfigure multiple work areas to create more private workspace, change use, or enhance business uses. 5. Review and leverage opportunities to enhance the adjacent parking spaces for better public access. 6. Adding space to facilitate a sheltered drive through vaccine lane and storage of supplies. 7. New resinous flooring in the corridors that surround the working spaces on the Animal Control side. 8. All associated A&E disciplines as required including Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Data, and Security. 9. Budget estimates at each phase of work. 10. The development of Add or Subtract alternate bid items to allow for informed decisions and budget control at bid review.
