3. The Contractor’s methods and materials shall comply with the following: a. Wash with mild soap or detergent and water. Washing may be done by hand or by a pressure washer. b. Using a soft cloth or sponge, gently wash the sheet to loosen dirt and grime and rinse well with clean water. Use a squeegee to remove excess rinse water. c. Avoid using abrasive cleaners and/or cleaning implements on Lexan panels that may mark or gouge the sheet. d. Compatible cleaning agents include all aqueous solutions of soaps and detergents such as Windex, Joy, Fantastik, Top Job, Mr. Clean, or Formula 409. 4. Cleaning shall include the removal of all graffiti. The following products will be used for graffiti removal: a. FSC-1 from Danko Industries, Genie-Wipes from Getex Corporation, or approved equals for the removal of paint, marking pen, ink, lipstick, etc. b. To remove labels, stickers, etc., the use of a razor-edged scraper is generally effective. 5. The Contractor shall remove all trash, cigarette butts and debris in and immediately around the concrete pad. The Contractor shall be responsible for the proper disposal of removed trash and debris. 6. The Contractor shall remove all trash from any trash receptacle(s) attached to the shelter or freestanding but at the shelter site. Contractor must empty a can regardless of its weight. Composition, design, or other factors – except for the solar-powered Big Belly receptacles – so Contractor’s staff shall be able to accommodate a variety of receptacle types. Refer to Exhibit C, Attachment No.3 Garbage Receptacle Styles for images of various receptacle types. 7. The Contractor shall trim weeds and other plant growth and remove leaves on or immediately surrounding the concrete pad and shelter structure. Proper use of weed killer is acceptable. Task Requirements – Winter Days 1. “Winter” days are defined as days in which the temperature does not exceed 35 degrees Fahrenheit at any point during the twenty-four (24) hour period. 2. The Contractor shall remove all snow from the concrete pad surrounding the shelter and clear a direct path from the shelter to the place at the curb where a passenger boards the bus. 3. The Contractor shall clear snow on the concrete pad surrounding the shelter by hand or snow blower. Salting shall be by hand or by a hand-held spreader. 4. The Contractor shall clean the interior and exterior of the shelter, including metal framing and polycarbonate plastic or glass partitions and roof, using materials which do not scratch, discolor or corrode the various surfaces.
