Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Illinois, Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), will accept bids from responsible Bidders for the operation of the lower level of the concession building with a bait shop and boat rental at Johnson Sauk Trail State Recreation Area located in Kewanee, Illinois. The concessionaire at Johnson Sauk Trail State Recreation Area will be authorized to sell and rent boating equipment, bait, state hunting and fishing stamps, marine, fishing, picnic and camping supplies, ice fishing supplies, Illinois Native Firewood, and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, the concession is authorized to rent electric powered boats (gas powered not allowed), canoes, paddle boats, kayaks, & bicycles. Vendor may also drive through the campground to offer the above-listed items for sale if they choose to do so. If vendor chooses to sell state hunting and fishing stamps, then the vendor shall become a licensed vendor with IDNR for the sale of these items. The Johnson Sauk Trail State Recreation Area concession is located on Johnson Lake in the rolling hills of Henry County in north-central Illinois and is comprised of a 1,365-acre park for all seasons.
