Specifications include, but are not limited to: Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) operates the World Shooting and Recreational Complex (WSRC or the Complex), near Sparta, Illinois, the premier shooting event venue in the Midwest. The venue features 120 trap houses over a 3.5-mile course, 2 sporting clay courses, 24 combination trap/skeet fields, and cowboy action shooting. This is also the site for the Amateur Trapshooting Association Grand Championship (ATA GRAND) each year, through at least 2025. The Complex also includes a 34,000 sq. foot Events Center, with several conference rooms and a full-service restaurant. While not a part of the Complex, an adjacent IDNR location has over one thousand camping sites, from premium to primitive, and several fishing lakes.
