Specifications include, but are not limited to: Respondent Provider will: 1. Provide for a Physician to be in attendance at the DeKalb County Jail, 180 East Exchange Street, Sycamore, Illinois 60178 at times mutually approved by the Provider and the Jail Administrator. The Physician shall be currently licensed by and in good standing with the State of Illinois licensing authority. 2. Provide nursing coverage in the DeKalb County Jail, preferably by Registered Nurses, but highly qualified, Licensed Practical Nurses, with experience in the Correctional setting, may be substituted with approval by the Jail Administrator and Provider. These individuals must be licensed and in good standing within the State of Illinois. Hours of nursing coverage shall be negotiated based on assessment of facility needs. 3. Assist with emergency psychological services as needed. 4. Coordinate with Jail Administration, Counseling Staff, and contracted Psychiatric service providers to obtain necessary medical information and history about the inmate. Also, assist with any follow-up care, necessary medication continuation or ordering, and facilitation of required appointments. 5. Provide qualified personnel or Physicians to serve as Medical Director of the facility. The Director’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: employee scheduling, medication orders, medication stock, ensuring continuation of care by scheduling follow-up appointments and care, providing leadership and guidance to Nursing staff, ensuring thorough and complete documentation is maintained, and provide protocols for quality care, in addition to ensuring employee standards of conduct to adhere to the current standards of the Sheriff’s Office...
