Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) seeks multiple Vendor to provide Internet egress services at the following locations: Equinix - 350 E Cermak, Chicago, IL; Starlight Internet 2 Gigapop - 710 N Lakeshore, Chicago, IL; St. Louis Digital Realty Data Center - 900 Walnut, St. Louis, MO; and Springfield AT&T POP –620 S 5th St., Springfield, IL. Internet egress is the process of data leaving a network and transmitted to external networks or the internet. Internet egress is the flow of data from an internal network to the outside world. Internet egress allows users to access the internet, send emails, browse websites, and communicate with external systems. Internet egress involves the use of routers, firewalls, and other networking devices to control and manage the flow of data. These devices ensure that data leaving the internal network is secure, properly routed, and compliant with any network policies or regulations.
