The purpose of this RFP is to obtain Life, AD&D, LTD and Voluntary Benefit coverage for the CTA full time permanent employees and Life and AD&D coverage for certain part time employees. Proposer(s) may elect to provide Services for one or more of the components referenced above. The CTA may select a different vendor for each component or a single vendor to administer each component, and will consider any savings created by each of these options. Each component will be considered separately to ensure that the CTA’s goals with respect to the individual component are met. The CTA currently offers its employees a non-contributory basic term life and (AD&D) benefit and optional employee term life insurance. Certain employees are offered optional AD&D and dismemberment, spousal and dependent life insurance, with matching AD&D coverage, and Long Term Disability Insurance. Certain retirees are provided term life insurance benefits.
