Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall have available for specified operators and supervisors all of the uniform items listed herein (Section I, Uniform Components and Specifications) and account for each employee’s annual uniform allowances and payroll deductions used to assist employees in purchasing their uniforms. CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS A. Distribution of Uniforms The distribution of uniform items shall be made available through an Internet website. The Contractor shall have uniforms available through at least one service center centrally located within the metropolitan Chicago area. 1. Website The Contractor shall provide a website, designed specifically for Pace employees, to enable Pace employees to purchase uniform items via the Internet. Internet orders shall be shipped directly to the employee’s division at the same price as an in store purchase and with shipping charges included in the price. These items shall be shipped “work ready.” All badges and patches shall be properly sewn on before shipping. The website shall clearly identify all authorized uniform items for each specific job title and be readily accessible to Pace employees. A representative of the Contractor shall be available during normal business hours via phone to assist any operating employees in ordering uniforms from the website. 2. Service Center(s) Approximately 25% of Pace employees prefer to obtain uniforms from a service center. Also, new employees will be sent to the service center upon completion of training and just prior to going into service, and the Contractor shall provide a complete set of initial uniforms with badges attached in one visit to the service center. This service center(s) shall be owned and operated, managed, controlled or leased by the Contractor. The service centers should be centrally located within the metropolitan Chicago area and should be easily accessible to Pace operating employees. These facilities shall provide adequate accommodations to provide timely customer service, tailoring and badges for Pace employees. The service centers shall be open to Pace employees between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (except for legal holidays). The Contractor shall have a representative available at all times to resolve complaints and to monitor and control the availability of uniform items (inventory) at the service centers
