Specifications include, but are not limited to: Generally, services the awardee(s) will provide include, but may not be limited to: A. GENERAL 1. All project work performed through this contract is considered performance based: The intended result of all landscape maintenance work is consistently well-groomed, aesthetically pleasing landscapes with healthy, vigorous, thriving plantings. 2. The Contractor is responsible for providing all labor, supervision, services, materials and equipment as often as necessary during the project term to ensure that the required result is achieved consistently during the term of work. 3. Categories of project work include: a. Standard and specialized landscape maintenance operations b. Miscellaneous landscape services 4. Refer to the specifications (EXHIBIT C) for: a. Types of work included within each work category b. Definitions, detailed descriptions, and specifications for each type of work 5. All standard landscape maintenance work shall be performed on a “lump sum” basis (per the COST PROPOSAL). 6. Miscellaneous landscape services work shall be performed upon request by the CPD project manager, on an individual proposal basis. B. Standard Landscape Maintenance Services 1. Standard landscape maintenance services include all operations necessary for ongoing, seasonal and specialized maintenance and management of the landscapes. 2. Standard landscape maintenance operations comprise the following categories of seasonal work: a. Spring clean-up and site preparation b. On-going maintenance c. Fall maintenance, clean-up, and winterization d. Winter maintenance e. Snow removal services f. Soil testing services g. Cost allowances 3. Standard landscape maintenance operations are to be performed on the following landscapes and landscape elements: a. Plant material and/or planting beds 1) Herbaceous plant material, including annuals, bulbs, perennials, herbaceous vines and herbaceous groundcover 2) Woody plant material, including trees, shrubs, hedges, woody vines and non-herbaceous groundcover b. Turf and lawns c. Paths and hardscape elements d. Automatic irrigation system e. Ornamental water features f. Specialized maintenance necessary for the proper upkeep of a specific landscape or landscape element.
