Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Request for Proposals of Reagan Mass Transit District is seeking a partner organization to lead the process, start to finish, with requisite experience in similar type projects. Given the complexity of this project, RMTD is looking for an experienced data analysis consultant with the requisite experience to lead the gleaning of existing data and the capturing of new front-line data from persons dealing with the lack of appropriate transportation infrastructure. This project will look at all types of transportation needs, not just public transit needs of residents. University settings are encouraged to respond to this RFP opportunity. The scope of this 18-month project will focus on the collection and analysis of data in underserved areas, in regard to transportation, within Lee and Ogle Counties and then targeting those communities that have an identified need for transportation. RMTD will take a tiered approach, starting our study with Lee County and then moving into Ogle County shortly after. RMTD is looking to accomplish improvements in residents’ quality of life, opportunities for employment, and opportunities for socialization. The transit district has initiated the collection of data with a survey distributed to current RMTD rider, but it is aware there are “transportation deserts” in Lee and Ogle County which need greater attention.
