SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement for courier services to facilitate the need for transporting IV compounded medications from Carle Cancer Center to VAIHCS Inpatient Pharmacy located at 1900 E Main St., Danville, IL 61832. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 492110 Couriers and Express Delivery Services. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Requirements: Vendor will provide a driver and vehicle that will pick-up IV compounded medication from Carle Cancer Center and deliver them to VAIHCS. IV compounded medications shall be placed in a dedicated container (with a lock) and transport them directly to VAIHCS Inpatient Pharmacy without any stops. A 1 hour and 15-minute window will be given for the IV medication compounds to be delivered to VAIHCS Inpatient Pharmacy. Upon arrival the IV compounded medications are to be delivered to the inpatient pharmacy in building 58 and given to the VAIHCS pharmacy POC. The container lock will be affixed by Carle Cancer center staff and then unlocked by VA Illiana staff. Trips will be scheduled by the VAIHCS point of contact (POC) 1 to 2 days prior to the scheduled appointment.
