1. The selected consultant will provide the Resident Engineer (RE) and necessary technicians required to support construction engineering services. Provide quality control of the construction through full-time inspection, interpretation, and enforcement of the contract documents, IDOT Standard Specifications, and UPRR Guidelines. The RE and technicians must be certified in IDOT Documentation. 2. The RE will serve as the City’s liaison with the residents and local businesses and will attempt to resolve all issues in the field. 3. Review and complete relevant tasks on IDOT’s Construction Inspector’s Checklist for Contract Administration. Review the plans and contract documents in depth to understand all aspects of the project and design intentions. Review existing record drawings as necessary to understand the project site. 4. Prepare a project contact list with contact information for all contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for the project.
