The intent of these specifications is to provide services for pick-up, hauling and disposal of brush stockpiled by residents of the Village of Wauconda.
The Village of Wauconda has approximately 4,967 single family residential properties and currently has a brush pick-up program that is completed twice per year; once in the spring (May) and once in the fall (October). Typically, the process takes five days to complete.
The general program requirements for participating residents are as follows.
• Stack brush at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12th.
• Twigs and branches must not exceed four (4) inches in diameter and must be stacked in the same direction, not bagged or bundled.
• Piles should be placed within eight (8) feet of the curb but not in the street.
• Brush resulting from a major project such as contractors hired by an HOA to trim subdivisions, do not qualify for this service and removal is the responsibility of the hired contractor.
• Materials placed at the curb after crews have passed your house will not be collected.
The Contractor shall supervise and direct the work using their best possible skill and attention. The contractor shall be solely responsible for all means, methods, techniques and procedures for coordinating all portions of the work under the contract. However, the contractor must specify the means, methods, techniques and procedures for coordinating all portions of the work that will be utilized in the execution of this contract.
