The Fort Wayne Housing Authority is seeking to partner with an agency or agencies to provide 4 key component educational and occupancy skills training services. Respondents may submit proposals for any combination of components; however, components must be clearly identified and individually addressed. FWHA seeks to enroll 84 students throughout the duration of the program instructional period (September 2022 through August 2024). Education and occupational skills training shall provide program participant youth with the opportunity to obtain the education and employment skills necessary to achieve economic selfsufficiency and the ability to apply such skills in meaningful service to their community. Education services shall include providing participant youth with the ability to obtain an Indiana State high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one construction industry recognized certification along with the opportunity to acquire additional vocational and occupational certifications in the Healthcare field. For each component listed below, the minimum service level requirements are described, as well as preferred services which are included in the scoring matrix. Required and preferred services vary by component; however, a general list of preferred services includes: • Direct linkages to apprenticeship programs • Direct linkages to employment through employer partnerships/MOU’s • Direct paths to higher education • Proven experience working with disadvantaged youth • Services available to address potential barriers (e.g. transportation, childcare, mental health, substance abuse, behavioral issues, disabilities, homelessness, criminal records etc.) • 25% - 100% match contributions
