Design Criteria: ● In new construction, concrete parking lots with curb and gutter are preferred. ● Snow removal shall be considered when designing new paving areas. ● New paving designs shall take into consideration ADA requirements of the entire building site. Modifications to existing areas shall be made to make entire site ADA compliant. Specifications: ● Concrete drives and parking lots shall be 6” thick with 6” rock base or as indicated on the drawings. Reinforcement, #4 @24” ew ● Concrete curb & gutter see attached sketches for standard and low profile. ● Paving concrete design mix shall be a 4000-psi mix. ● Concrete design mix shall comply with Sudas Standard Specifications Section “7010-2.02-B Concrete mixes” which references a max 4” slump and air entrainment 7% ● Install full depth ½” expansion joint material in all locations where concrete abuts the building and steps and seal expansion joints with Sonlostic SL1 material. ● Apply Conspec City White Cure (or approved equal) over new concrete according to manufacturer's instructions. ● Saw cut control joints as necessary to maintain maximum panel size of 10’x10’. ● Fill all saw cuts with W.R. Meadows hot-applied polymeric sealant material (or approved equal).
