Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Ames has salvaged and stockpiled concrete and asphalt from various streets and projects in the local area. Separate stockpiles are located at the City of Ames Street Department storage site located at Edison & Carnegie Avenue. Only a portion of the existing stockpile is intended to be crushed under this contract. The Contractor will set up a mobile crushing operation at the City maintenance facility yard. The Contractor may use a field conveyor with a belt scale, trucks, and other equipment necessary to stockpile the crushed material. The material shall be stockpiled in a manner that minimizes compaction and segregation of the stockpiled material and waste.
