Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Iowa is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers to provide retail food and coffee service for building occupants and visitors to the College of Public Health Building (CPHB).The University is interested in a supplier that can provide an array of food items as well as coffee and beverage options. The University will consider all proposed food themes and business models. Suppliers are expected to provide a detailed proposal that addresses all items and expectations detailed within this document. If a Supplier does not agree with all items or is unable to meet any of the expectations, please provide a detailed explanation for the proposed exception. All exceptions will be reviewed by The University of Iowa for consideration. The University has the following equipment available for use by the operator of the café. • Freezer – 23 cubic foot; single door • Refrigerator – 49 cubic foot; 2-door reach-in • Ice Machine – cuber, dice 129 lb. with bin Site Utilities and Maintenance: The River Ridge Café site is equipped with all necessary utilities needed for the food service operation. The supplier will be provided one telephone line and one data line. Water and electricity will be provided by the University as well as pest and insect control. The supplier will be provided access to University Waste Management Services. The Supplier is responsible to remove all recycling, garbage and refuse from the River Ridge Café area and placing it in the designated waste disposal location provided by the University. The University will designate a specific route to take waste containers from the River Ridge Café food service area to the CPHB disposal area.
