Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Contractor will provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, etc.to perform commercial hood fire suppression inspections in various ISU buildings. All work must be as per NFPA96 Standard for Ventilation Control Cooking Operations (2024 edition) Fire protection licensing is required for the Contractor and each Technician that will be working on the ISU Campus. Provide Contractors license number in the Attributes tab and attach the technician license(s) for each technician in the Response Attachment tab. B. Pricing for each commercial hood fire suppression system inspection, fusible link replacement and hydro test & recharge will be all inclusive on the Line Items tab. ISU will not pay for additional fees for travel, mileage, per diem, parking, etc. C. Inspections a. Protect all areas and equipment around the inspection zone as needed. b. Contractor shall repair any damaged caused by Contractor employees during the inspection process. D. Contractor shall: a. Contractor will ensure that hoods are in proper operating condition after inspection. b. Contractor shall re-light all pilot lights on equipment that was shut off during the inspection. c. Contractor shall remove the last service date sticker and provide a new sticker as per Iowa code. E. Contractor shall notify the Dining Services, Department of Residence (DoR) or FP&M staff of any deficiencies found during the inspections. F. ISU reserves the right to add/delete hood systems as needed. (I.E. If we close down a kitchen, we will remove it from the list). If a new hood system is added, Contractor will be allowed to propose a price for the suppression system inspection which can be added to the contract. G. Commercial Hood Fire Suppression Inspection schedule: Work must be completed during the times of year listed below, as scheduled by ISU. ISU will provide the awarded Contractor a schedule of dates/times, ahead of inspections. Inspections are to be completed with no interruption of the regular service to these areas.
