The essence of any student transportation contract is that the students be transported to and from school and other activities and events safely, regularly, promptly, and without interruption or incident. The Contractor, and its staff, as well as the District and its staff, shall develop and maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship which places the children’s best interests above other considerations. 3.2. The primary obligation of the Contractor is to design and operate a system of services and communication which assures the District of continuous, reliable, high-quality performance for the duration of the contract. The District will, in turn, obligate itself to work with the Contractor in good faith so as to develop and maintain a safe and efficient transportation program within the terms and conditions of the Contract.
