Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Contractor shall install, configure, migrate, document and train City staff on standing up a new six (6) node VMware cluster in one location and another replication cluster in a disaster recovery center. Current production VMware cluster is on an Avaya network and the new network to be installed will be on an Aruba network. All work should be completed according to the City’s standards. 2.2 Existing and new servers are Dell. 2.3 Existing storage is on a Nimble Storage Array, new storage is a Pure Storage Solution. 2.4 The City shall provide configuration information for any existing infrastructure to the awarded Contractor. 2.5 Contractor shall review and document all current configurations. 2.6 Contractor shall work with the City to develop data migration plan. 2.7 Contractor shall perform DR failover testing, replication testing, vMotion testing and other testing related to a new cluster implementation, to verify post-migration functionality, communication, and backup/restore process. 2.8 Contractor shall provide documentation and a review of the new configuration/environment to the City’s Project Manager. 2.9 Contractor shall decommission old clusters and storage. The City shall be responsible for electronic recycling of all hardware. 2.10 Expedient completion of this project is critical and will be a factor in the award of the Contract. 2.11 Contractor shall have VMWare certifications or 5+ years of implementation and migration experience with the following technologies: • Dell Servers • Pure Storage • VMware ESX 7.x and 8.X • Veeam • Microsoft Windows Server OS versions 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022. 2.12 Contractor shall have support knowledge of the following technologies: • Dell SAN Switching • Nimble Storage 2.13 Contractor have knowledge of the following technologies: • Aruba • Avaya • DAC Cabling / SFP & Fiber Channel
