Specifications include, but are not limited to: The qualified firm will assist UI Health Care with the identification of qualifying rebills allowing UI Health Care to bill these claims as an actual discharge, if the transfer patient does not admit to the SNF, Rehab, or HHA within the required time frame and receive a full payment from Medicare. In most cases, reliance will be placed upon the rebilling recommendations of the chosen firm, but there may be exceptions. There needs to be a high level of verification by the firm, that no subsequent post-transfer care was provided. Doing so ensures compliant rebilling by UI Health Care. The qualified firm will assist UI Health Care in monitoring the rebill activity and the status of the claims identified for rebilling.
