Iowa State University is seeking proposals for digital accessibility consultation and an enterprise training platform to assist in formalizing our existing digital accessibility program, housed in Information Technology Services. We have three dedicated staff positions for coordinating and leading campus efforts toward compliance with the Department of Justice rule effective April 24, 2026, and our internal policy. Our campus is a large, decentralized, public, landgrant university. Since we are a small team with a large campus, we are experiencing inconsistency of vision, awareness, and expectations. Our main need is to centralize the digital accessibility program management through policy alignment, training, and tracking progress over time, in addition to remediation efforts. In order to do this work, we need consultation and a training platform. Through consultation and training, we can empower departments to become compliant in accordance to the DOJ rule.
