The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has a requirement for Direct Lease Contractors/Property Managers (PM), Housing Solutions Vendors and/or Property Owners. The FEMA Direct Lease Program is a housing assistance program to lease properties not usually available to the public and existing rental units for the purpose of providing temporary housing to eligible applicants who are displaced due severe storms, flooding, straight-line winds, and tornados under FEMA DR-4796 in the State of Iowa. FEMA may utilize these units for eligible applicants who are unable to use rental assistance due to lack of available resources. Note: the term Contractor will be used to refer to Contractor/Property Managers/Housing Solutions Vendors/Property Owners hereafter.
