The City of Ames seeks to procure an electric-powered adaptive golf car that meets the following needs: Cart that is easy to operate and adjust for riders with a variety of adaptive needs Adjustable to fit all users (i.e., youth and adults) Hand controls for riders with limited leg mobility that can be operated with either right or left hand (finger controls, zero-turn joystick, etc.) Seat that allows a player using the cart to be assisted into a standing position Includes foot plate, foot belt, knee belt, waist belt, and chest belt Non-slipping and non-friction straps Ability to navigate multiple terrains (i.e., hills, sand, woods, etc.) Fully electric cart operated by lithium battery with reliable battery life suitable for 9 holes of play Charges with standard 110v outlet Light weight cart, with rider weight capacity of at least 300 lbs. Easy to transport with vehicle or trailer Must fit within a 4 ft x 4 ft space for storage Minimum top speed of 8 mph Minimal maintenance requirements for regular use Must comply with relevant laws and regulations, including ADA compliance and safety standards
