As part of an emergency response program in animal safety, the Iowa Department of Agriculture & Land Stewardship is seeking bids for modification of two 39’ Armor Lite Aluminum trailers to accommodate emergency depopulation equipment per the specifications detailed below. The trailers are new 39’ long, 85” wide with 60” sidewalls. The trailers will need to be modified to accommodate emergency depopulation equipment. The modifications to both trailers will be identical, and the quote must be for both trailers. The Department has retained the Technology Development Institute (TDI) to provide engineering oversight, equipment specifications and fabrication drawings for the project. CAD drawings and bill of materials will be provided upon request. The successful respondent will be retained to provide the actual fabrication and construction of the trailer to the specifications provided by TDI. The successful respondent must be willing to work on the project in conjunction with the Department and TDI. TDI will provide oversight of the project and will also provide initial approval that the trailers and fabrication meet the specifications prior to the Department providing final acceptance
