2.1 Contractor shall replace the current Edwards EST3 fire alarm system with a new Edwards EST4 system or equivalent. The current system is at the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced. 2.2 Contractor shall replace all of the head end panel parts, but will use all of the existing field devices. New system must be compatible with the existing field devices. 2.3 Contractor is responsible for the following: • Provide NICET certified Life Safety system technicians to perform the work • Provide all necessary EST4, or equivalent parts for the work • Install, program and test the new system • Reuse all existing field devices and wiring, ensuring proper programming with new head units • Provide minimum of 2 hours of customer training on the operations of the new system to stadium staff • If the system is different than EST4, additional training will need to be provided • Ensure all applicable warranties, testing paperwork and information is filed with the City of Cedar Rapids – Fire Marshal’s office • Ensure monitoring company has proper phone tree for troubles, supervisory and fire alarms
