2.1. The primary project shall be for repair/replacement (as necessary) of the third-floor roof at the Cedar Rapids Public Library. Alternates are requested for two other roofs at the library as well, the oval roof and the second-floor west roof. 2.2. Selected Consultant shall provide site research and investigation, preliminary design and cost estimates, final designs, construction documents and cost estimates, and project oversight during the bidding and construction phase of the contract. 2.3. Selected Consultant shall work with FiberTite on warranty issues and throughout the design and construction phases of the contract. 2.4. Consultant shall provide a preliminary timeline/schedule for the above stated Work. 2.5. Consultant shall provide a listing of key personnel and experience as well as examples of similar projects that have been designed and completed with contact information. 2.6. Consultant shall address the following items listed below as well as any other items that are inherently associated with completing the project: 2.6.1. Once a Consultant is selected they shall hold a kick-off meeting with key FMS staff to review the project scope and timelines. 2.6.2. Consultant shall perform any research and surveys needed to develop base information for the project design. 2.6.3. Once preliminary design and cost estimates are completed for the project the consultant shall present their design solutions to the FMS Division for approval before proceeding with the design further. 2.6.4. Consultant shall review staff input and revise the design. 2.6.5. Consultant shall provide City staff with 95% final construction documents and specifications as well as a revised cost estimate and project construction timeline. Once staff has reviewed the 95% plans and made any comments or changes the Consultant shall proceed to final plan, specifications, and final cost estimate. 2.6.6. Final plans shall include all drawings, details and specifications needed to bid and repair/replace the roof sections at the Cedar Rapids Public Library. 2.6.7. Consultant shall provide the City with all electronic files needed to print and distribute the plans and specifications for bidding. 2.6.8. Consultant shall provide the City with all the base information, final drawings, etc. in an AutoCAD compatible format. 2.6.9. City staff will provide any electronic drawings that are available to the Consultant for the project as well as access to any files, or previous reports, needed for the design.
