Minimum Acceptable Unit – Make / Model Equivalent: John Deere 672GP AWD, CAT 140M AWD (or machines of similar size, power, and functions) Model Year: New, used, or demo, and not more than five (5) years old. Cab: Fully enclosed, deluxe, with heater, defrosters front - sides - and rear, wipers front and rear, air ride seat. Mirrors: Rearview OEM mirrors on outside of cab on both sides. Roof-top Strobe Light: LED strobe(s) shall be mounted top of cab, or multiple LED mini strobes at roof edge, to be seen from all 4 sides of the equipment. Include on/off switch in the cab. Wing Plow Strobe Light: LED white strobe on top edge at the end of the wing, visible from the rear. Lights: Headlights, taillights, turn lights, hazard warning, and 2 rear work lights. Backup Alarm: Electric, audible Block Heater: 110 V heater with standard, convenient connection Fuel Tank Heater: Standard plug, 110 V in-tank heater for fuel, or diesel heater Fuel: Machines that operates on biodiesel up to 20% and at the highest efficiency are required. The City of Ames will fuel this machine with diesel obtained from the Iowa DOT in Ames.
