Specifications include, but are not limited to: Due to long-term abandonment, water damage from a leaky roof, and animal habitation, the property has become contaminated with black mold, animal feces, parasites, and other potential contaminants. The Project will involve the removal and disposal of all furniture, numerous appliances, clothing, garbage, and trash from the entire house, including the basement, exterior, garage, and yard. Due to potential asbestos materials in the property, do not remove any ceilings, walls, flooring material, or carpets. The property is a single-family home with a detached garage. The main floor consists of a kitchen, living room, family room, two bedrooms, and a half bathroom. The upper level includes two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The basement consists of a recreation room, family room, den, laundry area, and utility area. The structure is vacant. Animals may still be present, and the Contractor will be responsible for removing them. Due to contamination and potential hazards, there is no scheduled site visit. Cleanup will allow the City to complete testing of hazardous materials such as asbestos prior to demolition of the property. It is currently unknown if asbestos is present in the window frames and casings. Therefore, windows cannot be removed to aid in the removal and cleanup process.
