Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Indianola Parks and Recreation Department is requesting bids for repainting the entire surface area of both pools and sealant repair at the Indianola Veteran’s Memorial Aquatic Center with the listed minimum requirements. If your proposal and installation does not match the minimum requirements, please provide a list of differences along with your bid. A. Cleaning and Prepping Both Small and Large Pool Surface Areas: Approximately 19,200 square feet of concrete substrate will be cleaned by using a combination of shotblast machine and sandblast machine. The shotblast machine will remove the dirt and contaminants on the horizonal floor areas, sand brush blasting on verticals and steep areas, and the blue substrate (perimeter and island) will be pressure washed for full preparation as required by coating manufacturer to properly install their material. After the shot and sand blast and pressure wash is complete, the remaining shot will be removed from the jobsite. Excluded in this preparation, are the drains. B. Repaint Small and Large Pool (floor, sides, and perimeter): the substrate will then be coated with two coats of Tnemec 66 epoxy or equivalent.
