Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is seeking an archaeological consultant to provide services for compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and Code of Iowa for State Revolving Fund projects across Iowa. If selected, this consultant shall enter into a three year, on-call contract for providing archaeological services for one or more of the following services in connection with federal Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act projects to comply with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and Code of Iowa: ● provide consultation to DNR staff for project scope development ● provide quality assurance to findings report submitted to the DNR ● provide consultation for the development of minimization, mitigation, and avoidance plans with DNR staff and project coordinators ● provide guidance and direction, as requested, related to the Tier 1 and 2 authority of the Programmatic Agreement (PA; Attachment A) for archaeological review to DNR staff ● provide general guidance on archaeological concerns, as needed, for DNR staff ● provide general guidance on archaeological concerns with architectural SOI contract staff as needed
