Services for the resultant contract will include, but not be limited to, miscellaneous general construction for multiple departments at the University and UIHC. The majority of these general construction services will be performed for University Facilities Management including Design and Construction (D&C), Information Technology Services (ITS), Capital Management and Engineering Services at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC), and the Athletics Department. In addition to general construction project work, other representative projects may include, but not be limited to: Drywall and plaster wall installation, taping, sanding, patching, and limited painting. Ceiling tile and grid repair, replacement, and modification. Fire caulking, if certified. Installation of infection control measures including barriers; use of walk-off mats; negative air machines; installation of negative air machines that includes window removal and plywood panel installation. Door and frame installation and repair. Door hardware removal and installation. Hanging dispensers for paper towels, toilet paper, soap, hand sanitizers, etc. Hanging wall items such as pictures, frames, artwork, equipment, white boards, etc. Hot work such as cutting steel and grinding rebar, etc. Flooring repair and installation. Glazing and glass repair. Troubleshooting. Emergency projects.
