• Host Trainings Host at least three trainings focused on social engineering and the “human element” across the state of Iowa for local election officials in 2025 and 2026. The training should build upon previous efforts and include reviewing previous training and assessing knowledge retention year after year. Design and delivery of training participant materials, scenarios, and supporting documents. All materials are to become the property of HSEM/SOS. In-person trainings are preferred. Virtual or digital session can also be an option. • Deliver tailored training content Assess the current threat landscape as well as current security training efforts. Develop tailored training modules utilizing real-world scenarios, hands-on activities, and gamified approaches to the material that align with current SOS goals. • Provide measurable outcomes and plan further training Test the effectiveness of training by conducting pre and post-training assessments to evaluate knowledge retention and effectiveness of the training. Document and gather feedback on participant engagement, areas of confusion, and suggested content improvements. Develop further plans for training and education to address areas of improvement in attendee education, knowledge retention, and implementation of learned materials.
