The Iowa DOT is currently seeking bids for commercial locksmith services for the following but not limited to: Repairing, removing, and replacing cores. Pinning of new cores. Combining the cores to the keys. Re-keying existing cores. Duplication of keys Troubleshooting lock issues & determining equipment/materials necessary to repair. Additional Services: Full locksmith services for new construction projects that may include, but are not limited to maintenance facilities, rest areas, RCE oƯices, or like-buildings. o DOT will coordinate with awarded vendor to determine exact lock/installation needs on a project-by-project basis. Additional Requirements: Vendor must be able to provide all necessary equipment, materials, & labor to conduct commercial lock repairs and installation services, as requested. Duplication of keys shall only occur upon instructions and approval from Iowa DOT as indicated on Purchase Order. A violation of this provision may result in the termination of your contract with Iowa DOT. All supporting documentation shall be returned to the Purchasing Agent in charge of the solicitation or the Procurement Director for records retention of lock & keys. Once Iowa DOT has exhausted their stock materials, awarded contractor must have the ability to re-order and house a new stock consisting of equipment and materials needed to maintain operational integrity and security of statewide Iowa DOT sites. Additional Information: Iowa DOT currently utilizes Coremax and WH keyway series locking systems. IDOT does have a small stock of equipment and materials needed to maintain our locks. DOT will supply the necessary cores and key blanks until DOT stock is depleted. It’s the intent that DOT staƯ will conduct the changing of the cores and installation of new cores as needed.
