Feed Grind Size All rations will maintain an average micron size between 600-800 microns. 8. Ingredients All feed ingredients shall be thoroughly mixed. Primary ingredients to be corn, and soybean meal. There will be two rations, one with dried distillers grains (DDGS) and another without dried distiller grains (DDGS). Soybean meal shall not contain hulls. No other grains, grain by-products or wheat mids are allowed. 9. Phytase All rations to be formulated to maximize the use of phytase. The phytase used in the diets should be formulated to provide 0.12% AvP. If the feed mill runs out of Phytase, contact ISU Swine Farm Rydell Schott at 309-255-3480 to delay feed delivery or consider the use of non-Phytase diets provided to ISU. 10. Medications Diets do not include medications. If a medication is recommended by ISU’s Veterinarian, awarded feed vendor will add medications upon request of Swine Farm Manager and charge current price of medication and add to invoice(s). 11. Testing of Corn All lots of corn used in feed diets shall be tested regularly for Zearalanone (ZON) < 60ppb, Vomitoxin (DON) < 2ppm, and Fumonisin < 5ppm. Vendor shall also test corn for nutrient content and adjust rations based on the results.
