Specifications include, but are not limited to: Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is soliciting information from qualified contractors to provide time and material, not to exceed, commercial plumbing contracting services for various construction, maintenance and renovation projects. (a) The Work involved shall consist of miscellaneous plumbing contracting services to include, but not limited to, repairing, replacing or installing the following. a. Steam piping system b. Condensate piping system c. Chilled water piping system d. Heating hot water piping system e. Deionized water piping system f. Reverse osmosis piping system g. Acid waste piping system h. Storm piping system i. Sanitary sewer piping system j. Irrigation piping system k. Domestic water piping system l. Installation of plumbing equipment (b) All Work shall be in conformance with current Federal, State, County, and City codes and regulations as issued by EPA and subsequent legislation, Registration, certificates/licenses shall be current and available on demand. All Work will be specified in accordance with Time and Materials Guide Specifications (under construction) and the Facilities Design Manual which be accessed at https://www.fpm.iastate.edu/planning/. (c) Total construction costs for these projects shall generally range from $100 to $50,000. Projects may be awarded up to a maximum $100,000 total construction cost upon appropriate approvals from Facilities Planning and Management and Contract Administrator. (d) Prior to commencing Work on any project request, the Contractor shall visit the site, become familiar with the conditions under which the Work is to be performed and correlate personal observations with requirements of the project request. The Contractor shall take field measurements and verify field conditions and shall carefully compare such field measurements and conditions and other information known to the Contractor with the project request before commencing activities. Errors, inconsistencies or omissions discovered shall be reported to the Owner's Representative at once. (e) All labor and Work described in any project specification or shown on drawings shall be executed in a thoroughly substantial and workmanlike manner by individuals properly trained in the particular trade undertaken. All materials, fixtures, and apparatuses shall be new and first class materials, and shall be delivered to the site of the building and installed in an undamaged condition, without exception. Any deviation to this shall be authorized by the Owner's Representative.
