Specifications include, but are not limited to: Iowa State University is requesting bids for a contract order to supply limestone feed products as described below. Approximately 6 Month Term: Unical L 70 Ton. Shell n Bone Builder 40 Ton. t The products will be used as ingredients for feed at the ISU Kent Feed Mill and Grain Science Complex. Unical L – is large coarse particulate CaCO3 product with minimum calcium content of 38% Shell & Bone Builder – is a blend of coarse to medium particulate CaCO3, high calcium, slow solubility blend of hen and pullet-sized calcium carbonate, with minimum calcium content of 38%. ISU will consider other products that have the same feed qualities as the products listed. The following two terms will be the approximate time for deliveries. Approximately 6 Month Term: Upon Award or up through October 31, 2024. Orders will be placed by the feed mill management, or their designee as needed throughout the term of the contract. Orders will be approximately 6 tons of Shell n Bone and 11 tons of Unical L delivered every month. Orders are typically 3-5 days in advance but there are circumstances where shorter notice may be required.
