Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1 Iowa State University (ISU) is seeking bids from qualified Contractors to provide up-fitting services for various ISU owned Public Safety service vehicles. The services provided under this contract will be on an as needed basis. 2 Up-fitting Services 2.1 For as needed up fits, Contractor may be required to remove some existing equipment on retired vehicles and re-install the equipment into new ISU vehicles as well as provide and install new equipment as needed. Hourly rates & parts discounts for as needed up fits will be provided on the line items tab. 2.2 For as needed up fit projects, Contractor will provide ISU with a written estimate for the requested up fit based on the contracted rates for labor & parts. Written estimates will show line items details (MSRP – discount= final price) for labor, parts, and freight. If a written estimate for an up fit is deemed unreasonable (by ISU or if Contractor can’t meet a required ISU deadline, ISU reserves the right to have the work completed by other sources.
