The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is seeking competitive bids for Agricultural Services for the Herron Playa Wildlife Area in Ford County Kansas. The permit will be for three (3) years with the option to renew for an additional two three-year periods. Bidding is for permit to farm 58 +/- acres at Herron Playa Wildlife Area in Ford County Kansas. See attached documents for location of tract and sample permit, which constitutes the conditions and terms of permit. The permit term will be for 3 years with the option to renew for two (2) more thirty-six-month periods A crop rotation will be followed. Normal rotation will be wheat, milo, summer fallow. Cover crops may also be incorporated between regular crop cycle. This will be implemented at the managers discretion. Permit will be bid on a cash lump sum annual payment. Award will go to the highest bidder subject to reference check. Base bid should be on a cash rent basis. $$/acre/year. Alternate bid should be crop shares. Base bid is preferred.
