The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) is seeking competitive bidders to provide agricultural services on approximately 1,500 acres of farm ground located on the Norton Wildlife Area near Norton, KS. Entire balance of acres will be on one contract awarded from this bid (See Area Map). Existing crop fields may be taken out of production and/or new crop fields may be added during the contract period. Permittee will be notified of changes to acreage prior to that growing season. 4.1. The agricultural contract will include the following tracts shown on the attached Norton Wildlife Area map: Tract #1 Consists of approximately 235 acres of crop land located along the north side of State Highway 383 at the west end of the Norton Wildlife Area. Currently these acres are divided into 11 separate fields ranging from 9 acres to 33 acres in size. (See tract map or call for details) Tract #2 Consists of approximately 337 acres of crop land located on the north side of State Highway 383 east of Tract 1. Currently these acres are divided into 19 separate fields ranging from 8 acres to 26 acres in size. (See tract map or call for details) Tract #3 Consists of approximately 216 acres of crop land located on the north side of the Norton Wildlife Area. Currently these acres are divided into 17 separate fields ranging in size from 5 acres to 25 acres in size. (See tract map or call for details) Tract #4 Consists of approximately 370 acres of crop land located east of State Highway 383 on the south side of Sebelius Reservoir. Currently these acres are divided into 20 separate fields ranging in size from 5 acres to 33 acres in size. (See tract map or call for details) Tract #5 Consists of approximately 285 acres of crop land located on the south Side of Sebelius Reservoir in the middle of the Norton Wildlife Area. Currently these acres are divided into 6 separate fields ranging in size from 14 acres to 104 acres in size. Currently 255 of these acres are flooded. (See tract map or call for details) Tract #6 Consist of approximately 92 acres of crop land located east of the Sebelius Reservoir dam.
