The contractor will be responsible for: 1) Business Attraction and Industry Development: • Managing aviation and aerospace attraction projects, including proposal preparation, incentive negotiations, and site-selection support. • Identifying and pursuing opportunities to grow the aviation and aerospace ecosystem in Kansas. 2) Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: • Building relationships with aviation and aerospace companies, industry associations, and economic development organizations. • Coordinating efforts with state and local governments, workforce organizations, and utility providers. 3) Marketing and Promotion: • Representing Kansas at key industry events and developing tailored marketing strategies to attract companies. 4) Research and Analysis: • Providing data-driven insights into market trends, workforce capabilities, and infrastructure readiness. 5) Deliverables: a) A comprehensive statewide aviation and aerospace business attraction strategy within 120 days of contract start. b) Tailored proposals and incentive packages for aviation and aerospace companies considering Kansas. c) Post-event reports for trade shows, conferences, and stakeholder meetings attended. d) Must be based in any metro area having daily flights to Kansas City. e) Contractor agrees to exclusively represent the State of Kansas and Commerce during the period of the contract...
