Topeka Metropolitan Transit Authority (Metro) is requesting bids from qualified firms to install the required infrastructure to be able to charge electric vans at our Maintenance Facility location at 200 NW Crane in Topeka, Kansas. Metro has purchased and received 7 electric van charging station posts from Ford Motor Company. Metro will supply chargers, pedestals, panelboard, transformer, and disconnect for this project. Metro will need the labor and any additional materials to install electrical for the 7 charging stations. Proposers shall have sufficient experience and qualifications to perform the work as specified in the attached plans (see Appendices 1, 2 & 3). Proposer will be responsible for all aspects of this project, including but not necessarily limited to: • coordination of all work required to complete the project; • compliance with all city, state and federal regulations, and payment of any fines levied for failure to comply with said regulations; • follow all contract requirements on page 3-11; • acquire all necessary licenses, certifications, and permits, and payment of fees for same; • furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary for satisfactory contract performance; • provide at a minimum a one-year warranty from the date of Substantial Completion; • hire all subcontractors and ensure their compliance with contractual requirements; and, • ensure that the 7 electric van charging stations are properly installed, properly tested, and ready for use upon completion.
