Scope of Work: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, fuel, equipment, supervision, and all other incidental expenses necessary to perform the required services for the Department for Children and Families at 1710 Palace Drive, Garden City, KS 67846. 41,935 cleanable square footage (approximate total square footage area) comprised of: 29,614 sq. ft. front parking lot 7,840 sq. ft. south side of office 847 sq. ft. east side of office 2,180 sq. ft. front sidewalk 990 sq. ft. south sidewalk 464 sq. ft. east sidewalk Work shall proceed if two (2) or more inches of snow and ice have accumulated or if the local forecast expects more than two (2) inches to fall prior to the next workday. The specified work shall be completed prior to 7AM during the normal work week. If slick or icy conditions exist, an ice melt application shall be applied to all sidewalks and entrances. For snow accumulating during business hours, snow will be removed from the parking lot, building entrance areas, all sidewalk areas, between and behind all parked state cars, and ice melt will be applied to parking lot, entrances and sidewalks when needed in each instance when snow accumulates at a depth of two (2) inches, to be removed within a reasonable amount of time to achieve and maintain safe ingress/egress for occupants and visitors. Agency will not contact the Contractor to request services at the time of need.
